Jobs of the Future |
| Insight into tomorrow's best career opportunities! The American workforce is a very complex arena comprised of thousands of different occupations. This arena is in constant change as the needs and desires of the American society change. Over time some occupations, such as Stage Coach Builders, go out of style and offer few to no employment opportunities as we no longer value or need the products created by such workers. On the other hand, certain occupations remain in demand, such as Doctors, as we continue to need and value the services offered by these workers. Obviously, knowing which occupations will be in demand increases your chances of a secure employment future. However, predicting which occupations will be in most demand in the future is a complex task requiring extensive data on thousands of occupations and hundreds of industries. Such data collection is best done by the Bureau of Labor Statistics (BLS), a division of the U.S. Department of Labor. Every two years the BLS publishes its findings in a publication known as the Occupational Outlook Handbook (OOH). This data is also available online at the BLS website. Click here to access the BLS website to obtain information regarding the best "jobs of the future." |
