One of my objectives for creating the ICC was to make available to you affordable, yet professional career guidance – guidance that can help you solve your career needs and achieve your career goals.  However, in today’s economy, this is no easy task as professional career guidance can easily cost hundreds of dollars per hour when obtained on a personal, face-to-face basis.

Such high fees for professional career guidance are, in good part, a result of high overhead expenses which professional counselors must pay to operate their counseling services, such fees as office rent, secretarial assistance, utilities, computer equipment, etc.  As a result, many individuals find it impossible to receive the career guidance they need, especially during times when their finances are limited.

Here’s how the ICC can help…

You may now discuss your career needs, problems, ideas - whatever you wish as long as it's career related with an experienced, professional career counselor (with over 30 years of experience) via email for a low affordable fee.  Because the guidance is provided via email, rather than face-to-face, no high overhead expenses are involved. Therefore, the savings we experience are passed on to you in the form of lower fees.

Here’s how it works…

  1. Use the form below to explain your career needs, problems, ideas - whatever it is that you want to discuss and seek solutions for.  Take your time to complete the form, and be specific.  Provide as much information as you wish.  Please format whatever assistance it is that you feel you need in the form of questions that I can respond to.
  1. When you have completed the form, click on the SUBMIT button to forward your information to me.

I’ll carefully review your message and prepare a detailed response, which I will return to you via email within 48 hours (except for weekends and holidays).

Cost...

The cost of my career guidance service is only $45 – far less than most per hour counseling fees.  For this fee you may send me up to three separate email messages for my response.

  1. Career advice and guidance are provided within a safe and comfortable environment.  Because email is anonymous, you can discuss any subject matter without fear of embarrassment.
  1. Since we are not bound by the clock, you can take your time completing the form to adequately “tell your story,” so that I may response appropriately.
  1. You may use up to two follow-up email messages to fully discuss your career needs for a total of 3 email exchanges.

If desired, you may request additional guidance at the same rate of $45 for each group of 3 email exchanges.

James C. Gonyea has been a professional career guidance counselor for more than 30 years.  Mr. Gonyea holds a Masters in Guidance and Counseling from the State University of New York at Plattsburgh.  Mr. Gonyea is nationally recognized as an expert in career guidance, having written several books on the subject:

Mr. Gonyea has also created several career guidance software programs and tests that are currently being used online and in schools and colleges to aid students and adults in career selection and planning.  Mr. Gonyea is also credited with developing the first online career guidance service in 1989 for America Online, then called the AOL Career Center.  Mr. Gonyea was the Host of the career service for 12 years until March of 2001, and provided millions of individuals with online career information and advice.
