Career Focus 2000 Interest Inventory
Developed by James C. Gonyea

Which career direction should you pursue?

If that's a question that you've been asking yourself, we can help! The purpose of the Career Focus 2000 Interest Inventory (CF2II) is to help you identify possible career goals that match your strongest personal interests. The CF2II can accomplish this objective by providing you with a means of assessing your interests and identifying matching occupations.

The CF2II contains 180 inventory items about work tasks drawn from 18 occupational fields that make up the U.S. work scene. By completing the CF2II, you will receive an analysis report indicating your level of interest in each field and a list of occupations matching your interests. It is these occupations that we suggest you consider as possible career goals.

You will also have the option to print out your analysis report and a step-by-step guide that illustrates how to use your CF2II results when attempting to select a specific career goal.

The CF2II is ideally suited for use by high school and college students, as well as adults who wish to identify career options related to their personal interests. Completion of the CF2II takes approximately 20-30 minutes. If you wish, you may stop at any time, save your answers, and return at a later time to complete the inventory. There is no fee to take the CF2II.
