Values are the things in life that are most important to you, like an internal compass they shape both your decisions and behavior.
The purpose of this step is to help you define your work-related values - those work-related things that are most important or valuable - even necessary - for your own career satisfaction and success. To help you complete this step, you will review a list of work-related values, and then using this list as clues you will define your work-related values.

List only your most important values.
List anywhere from 1 to 5 values.
Make sure each value is different from the others.

Do not let the above list make decisions for you! While such lists are helpful tools, they do not list all the values that do exist. Therefore, in the final analysis, what you believe are your values should be the deciding factor when listing your values. |
